Away from the crowds found at big city malls, Ludington and Scottville offer an assortment of unique restaurants, quaint shops where you will find items that are exclusive to our area, scenic parks along the water and entertainment that will delight you.

Ludington is a port city that is becoming home to specialty shops and art galleries. The downtown district runs along Ludington Avenue and down James Street and Rath Avenues, both of which cross Ludington Avenue. Stearns Park Beach and a variety of marinas are within walking distance of the downtown district. Downtown is home to the famous House of Flavors Restaurant & Ice Cream Shop as well as antiques shops, a natural food store, a brew pub, clothing and music retailers and arts and crafts shops. A beautiful walkway also connects the downtown district to the lakeshore where you can take in a spectacular Lake Michigan sunset.

In nearby Scottville, another charming town awaits. Recently awarded a Michigan Main Street designation, Scottville is located in the heart of Mason County, about eight miles east of Ludington. It is home to the world-famous Scottville Clown Band, as well as West Shore Community College and Scottville Riverside Park. Weekly summer concerts add small-town ambiance. Common scenes from May through November are roadside farm markets where it’s possible to sample homegrown products fresh from the fields.
